Many of us went to Ottawa 3 years ago to lobby for change...and nothing happened. Are we in the third world when it comes to the protection and support of our artists’ intellectual rights and property? Apparently so - it's time for a change now... I made this statement over 3 years ago now and nothing has changed. It's a shame that our current and past government thinks so little of its artist's rights and our cultural survival to not get this done There are people in the internet business making vast amounts of money off the backs of musician's writer's and singers without any form of compensation. This is way beyond a question of fair play, it is theft pure and simple.”
