Celebrating Record Store Day in Toronto with the help of Toronto City Council

Music Canada will be celebrating International Record Store Day tomorrow, when over 170 independent record stores from across Canada will be celebrating the music and culture of the local record store.

To mark this event, Toronto City Hall has issued a series of Proclamations to the participating record stores in Toronto. A Proclamation is issued to recognize the value and importance of an event, campaign or organization that is significant to Toronto. These certificate-style recognitions of this important event are personalized with the name and address of the store.

We will be hand-delivering the scrolls today and tweeting photos from each store, so make sure to follow us on Twitter at twitter.com/Music_Canada.
