First Annual Ride for Unison Raises Approximately $1200 for Unison Benevolent Fund

The Unison Benevolent Fund held their first annual Ride for Unison on Saturday, July 28th, with eleven cyclists riding 50 km to benefit Unison, raising approximately $1200 for Fund.

Jodie Ferneyhough organized the event, leading the group on a scenic tour around Toronto, beginning at his residence and riding to the Toronto Zoo and back, a distance of over 50 km. The ride began just after 8am, and finished before noon, when riders celebrated with refreshments compliments of sponsors Yellow tail Wine

, and Kraft Canada
Sheila Hamilton, Unison’s Executive Director greeted the group post-ride with refreshments.
“It’s great how the Canadian music community is coming together with creative ways to raise money for the Unison Fund, and with these efforts we are very close to our goal of $1Million, at which point the fund will become operational. Thanks for all of our participants, their donors, our sponsors, and everyone who helped spread the word about Unison!” said Sheila.
